And at least she knew it was Australia vs. England for the Cup. She'd have to, for her booth to be of any use. And when she finally arrived at her booth, after smiling at those other Diagon Alley shopkeepers who were already there, she placed the box down on a table, her dark hair swinging over one shoulder.
Taking tiny racks out of the box, as well as various items of merchandise, she flicked her wand to let everything regain its normal size. There was no way she would have been able to get everything to the Cup location without a good Reducing charm. Setting everything up so it was organized to her preference; robes, shirts, jackets and the like on the racks and hats and scarves laid out on tables, she dug around in the box again for a second before pulling a brightly colored card out of it, propping it up on the table at the front of her booth.
And after everything was set up, she stood back to look at it all one last time before she settled in to wait for customers (and Melanie).
Her pockets lined with permission forms and camera in tow, Arjuna walked along vendor row looking for the perfect shots. Usually, these shots came up as accidents. With this knowledge, she snapped a few random pictures of shoppers and then of the vendors themselves as she walked past. She would get permission-written and irrefutable evidence-from the people in them for the ones she would submit to The Boss. Better be safe than sorry. That was something she'd learned living in India for a short spell. Of course, they couldn't be sued exactly could they? No. But just in case someone tried. She had the forms. Click, click, click. She frowned at the couple of stall holders who had decided to get up on the counters. She'd seen it before, and the sale slogans shouted as loudly as humanly possible were the norm in street markets back in Sri Lanka...but she always thought it was undignified. On the other hand it made interesting pictures. Click, click. There were a couple of stall holders poking each other. Arjuna snapped first-Click- and stared in revulsion later.
While she was here, she might as well get some stuff for herself. She knew the game would be Australia vs England, so that was obvious. She didn't follow Quidditch that much, being muggleborn herself and living in that world for over a year, so she didn't have any particular allegiance. Australia was irrelevant to her so she opted for England-in majority at least.
Now, which stall? Hmm. Jackets? That sounded interesting. At least it was out of the box. Creative. Arjuna liked it. "Urm...Hello to you," she said slowly to the woman behind the counter. "I would like to buy some merchandise. Uh...a jacket. Yes... For Engand." Without warning, she took a picture. Click. |
