There is a MASSIVE spoiler on Harrypotterforums (which could be completely false) by someone who claims to be working in the art dept. He said (amongst many other things) that the dance between Harry and Hermione happens after Ron has left them. I avoid words like 'betrayed', because if Ginny gets a pass for all the kerfuffle she caused when posessed by a horcrux in Chamber of Secrets, so should Ron. Remember Harry, who wasn't wearing a fragment of Voldemort's soul, told him to leave.

Anyway, apparently Hermione is very upset and we see the two of them sulking and moping for a while. Then they eventually talk about Ron for the first time and there are a few dance type steps as Harry tries to cheer Hermione up. That doesn't sound too bad. Hopefully Kloves has abandoned any hint of a love triangle. Love triangles just seem cheap, not romantic and Hermione in canon doesn't come across that way.

The films have diverged uncessarily from the books since about PoA, so it's hard to see why they should improve now. JKR isn't going to help either - she only speaks up occasionally if she thinks an omission will cause trouble later. That said, she apparently insisted that Grawp not be cut, Heavens knows why. She keeps quiet over the unimaginative additions, which is a shame. Regardless of what might be in her contract, her influence over public opinion while she was writing, was such that no exec would have ignored her if she did make her disagreement public. I say exec, because I feel that Kloves, while I dislike him, is a puppet in the hands of the studio execs who think that the hero should end up with the girl and try to downplay the 'other' sidekick and turn him into a jibbering idiot. Of course a witty, brave and sarcastic best friend of the hero wasn't at all sucessful in the first three Star Wars films.

If the above chap is genuine, the last two films should be quite a bit better than the dull and painfully incoherent HBP. They've got so much acting talent in the older cast, I hope they make good use of them for the first time, as they have two films to tell the story.
