Tears wouldn't help the situation, so Jake didn't cry. Anger seemed to bring out his bad side, though that hadn't happened in weeks...
"I wuh- I wuhhh-wuhhh-were in yyyyour office tuhh-talkkkin'... ssshoutin'... an' then I hhhhit my hhhhhead. An' then I wwwwere out side... under ttthuh wind'uh..." Jake stuttered and stumbled backwards again, urging himself to stay as calm as he could. One outburst was enough, ta very much.
"I..." Jake heard his voice crack a little and looked desperate. "All yuhhh-year... ffffforgetting perrrriods of tuhh-time... buhh-blacking out... nnnno-one... no-one done nuffink," he moaned, the first tear sliding down his face.
He did NOT want Lawson ANYWHERE near him again. Nope. Nosiree.
What was he supposed to say to that?
Marcus was ANGRY and we all know that he never gets angry. "Oh what a likely story" he spat, his body was trembling all over from this unfamiliar feeling. And now that he was angry, he just couldn't seem to get rid of the emotion like he really wanted to do.
"And you didn't think to talk to someone about THAT? You just decided to go around blacking out and not remembering what you had done and not find out why?" Marcus, was absolutely beside himself. It wasn't because he had been attacked it was WHO had attacked him that had him so out of control.
Shaking his head, he glared at Jake one last time before turning to Tiberius who was hell bent on letting his voice be heard.

Flipping over to his knees, Tibi scurried around their feet and stood up between them.
"STOP. IT." He looked up at Lawson and then back at Jake. "EVERYONE STOP YELLING!!" His eyes were full of tears. He didn't know what to believe or what to do or what was going on. His hands were shaking, one clenching his wand, though he had no idea when he had actually grabbed it.
"You." Tibi turned back up at Lawson, speaking far too sternly for such a small boy. "You said we were going to help him. That's not helping." He stood firmly in front of Lawson, keeping between him and Jake. The man would need to go around him or pick him up or knock him over if he wanted to get at Jake, and that would buy Jake some time.
Tibi knew how to be a human shield, at least.
"And you," he turned to Jake, his voice softening. "I... I dunno what to believe, Jake. I thought you were my friend." Tibi's lip trembled, then. "But I remember what happened now... and it doesn't make any sense."
"Well...gee...I'm sorry about that Tiberius" he sneered as he stared at the young boy who had the gall to yell at him. "Maybe coming face to face with the person who tried to kill you has given me other ideas."
Marcus watched with astonishment as the young Ravvie turned to Jake and basically just forgave the kid. Just like that!
"Friends till the end huh? Well why don't you see if you can get Jake to talk about what happened, since I seem to be the evil person here." he stowed his wand back in its holster and put Jake's in his pocket. "I'll just wait over by the door until you're both done catching up with each other." With that he stormed over to the door and lent up against the wall with his arms folded over his chest.
