There was only one emotion in Jake's eyes face and body language. Fear. Absolute and total fear. Fear of what had happened, what would happen, what might happen, what was happening, what would never happen and the results of what had happened because of him.
Unable to find the words, Jake cowered down on the floor, shaking his head frantically, saying the only thing that came to mind. "Duhh-don't rrrrrememmmmber iiiiit..."
A low growl left his lips as he reached down and grabbed the boy by the front of the robes and hauled him out of his hiding place. Marcus, held Jake up in front of him so that they were at eye level.
"Don't. Lie. To. Me" he said punctuating each word through gritted teeth. "You know exactly what you did to me and to Tiberius." Marcus, lowered the boy back to the floor but he did not release his hold on him. "I got your little cryptic clue when you were in my office earlier. Now I will ask you again. Why did you do it?"
