Livvy handed the seed to Samson and then gently and cautiously peeled the outer coating. Then she took the pin from their workstation and poked at the hilium. "Okay! Catch it!" she exclaimed.

As everyone around them was starting to glug down the finished love potions, Livvy and Samson had barely gotten out of step two. Meh. Clumsy.

"Sorryyy," Samson whined, watching as Livvy picked up the pin. He held the seed firmly in his hand, closed his eyes and waited until Livvy was able to poke the hilum. When she exclaimed, she took him by surprise, but maintained composure. Instead of dropping the seed into another cauldron by accident, he let the extract of the seed fall into their own cauldron. "Phew!" One down. He smirked, then took a seed in each hand. "Okay, so peel and poke 'em simultaneously so we can get a move on," he said, the words tumbling out of his mouth so quickly that it was almost incoherent.
