"You know, it's common courtesy to ASK, not to TELL." He was a Whitcomb. He did NOT take orders.

"Now, if you'd like to ask me to be your partner for the class, I will kindly oblige," he bowed his head slightly. He WAS in need of a partner after all. "And don't go forgetting the 'please.'"

Snicker.
Willow stared blankly at him.

She did not have time for this rubbish.

Abruptly standing up, Willow stomped her way to where the boy was still on his feet, and in all her five foot and four inches glory, took hold of Whitcomb's arm to drag him over the stool next to hers.

And then, Willow stood right in front of him, and with a charming smile on her rosy lips, she placed her hands on his shoulders, stretched on her tiptoes and forced him to put his bum on the chair.

She really did not have time for this rubbish.

Feeling rather pleased with her job, Willow shoved a cauldron in his direction and started to dictate orders. Because she was older, wiser and, well, ordering people (boys, especially) around was her thing.

"Start to warm up the water, Woodson Whitcomb." Yes, she was pretending that nothing out of ordinary had happened. "I'll just crush fluxweed." And so, she started with her job efficiently and thinking that love potions were ridiculous and pathetic. "Oh, you really don't mind warming up the water, correct?" The Ravenclaw looked up sideways at him with an innocent expression and a dark eyebrow quirking up at him. "Didn't think so."
