"Ready to add the pollen?" he asked with a smile, when she told him the water was near a boil. "You take care of the next few steps" - the change of colour, the directional stirs - "and I will get down to work on the bloodroots, if that's okay with you."
Lucy listened to him carefully and just decided to agree with him because she clearly didn't know what she was talking about.
"Yes, I suppose..."
Looking back at the task at hand, Lucy nodded as he asked to work with the bloodroots.
"Yes, I think it's ready," She said as she added the pollen and started stirring so it would dissolve. Very very slowly, the liquid turned a light golden color. She smiled in a satifying manner and looked up at the board once more.

Clockwise...counterclockwise...clockwise...etc.
"So, how are those bloodroots coming along?" She asked him as she stirred, the vapors clouding her face a bit.
