Yup! She needed to practice. "You know Miles, it would be funny if I came back to your house this summer and your aunt could see that I could walk in shoes like that. She would be proud."
Adrienne twitched the skirt of her dress a little as there was a slight pause in her conversation with Fia, inwardly wishing she could at least see what the other girl was actually doing. It was honestly a little strange talking to a headless person, even if she knew there was actually a head there. But then the Hufflepuff spoke again, and her grin returned. "Adrienne. My last name's Mercer, too, if you think that might come in necessary. And it really isn't that hard walking in heels after some practice." She stepped back slightly as the other girl went back to talking to Miles, and then she foud herself a bit abandoned as things started happening between the other two and Brody. And a girl in a hot-dog costume yelling about a fight.

Stepping back even more, she partially wished all the black she was wearing would actually make her blend into the shadows. Not that anyone else had noticed her anyway, probably because she wasn't wearing an elaborate costume. It was her choice, really. She stepped to one side as Miles stormed off, staying out of his way, both to protect herself and her shoes. And, with the rest of the fireworks continuing, her blue eyes kept going between Fia and Torin, who had spoken with Brody and now looked upset. But in the same respect, he had Reese and another boy with him now, and she still wasn't sure she could really do anything. It was all so confusing.
