"Merlin me!" LouAnn thought to herself. Had she not been in such a silly mood, she might have taken offense to this. She might have gotten angry, and she might have stormed out of class.

...as it was, though, she was just in the mood for silliness. With all the blacking out she'd been doing lately, it was sort of inviting to put all that to the side for a moment and...well, skate through the business of owls. She picked up each foot and casted a little spell to keep them nice and free of stuff-we-do-not-name.

...and she skated. There were a few hardened pieces of owl poo that she just sort of bumped over, but for the most part, she was able to slide around just like she was on a lake of frozen water. After a while she sort of slipped a little too much and nearly lost her balance. She steadied herself, but...but...oh, no! She was going to crasshhh...and it looked like she'd do so right into Professor Josef Perry---Astronomy Extraordinaire. Gulp.
