But he had to listen to Lawson. Not wanting to, he took his wand out and muttered, "Lumos," letting it shine it's light in the passageway.
"Thank you Torin." Marcus glanced at the boy out of the corner of his eye and could see his discomfort. He moved further on down the passage way until he could see the body. "Why don't you just stay here Torin, I'll take it from here. Just keep your wand up so that I can see."
Marcus gave him a gentle pat on the shoulder before taking the last steps to where the young boy lay. He knelt down beside the body and checked for a pulse. It wasn't necessary of course he could tell from just one look that the kid was dead but it was always best to check.
And yep no pulse. Marcus sat back on his heels and let his eyes scan over the boys body. Not a mark on the kid. Not one. Which could only mean...
He lent over the body and brushed his hand over the boys eyes so that it looked like he was sleeping before standing up again and turning to face Torin. "Did you see anyone hanging around here before you found the boy?"
