"Okay, let's make that a big group of people," she quickly added.

Hearing someone whispering to her, she turned her attention to this Ravenclaw girl that she has seen many times before, but has never actually engaged in a conversation with. "No, I don't understand this book," she sadly answered. "Yes, you're right. I don't understand Runes and..." honestly, I don't even WANT to study Runes right now. But, she knew this was the perfect time to get help with her studies if she really needed it - which she did. "I like that idea. Maybe we can understand this stuff if we work together," she replied with a smile.

Just as she was about to introduce herself to the Ravenclaw girl, she was almost pushed off the side of the bench by someone. What the heck?! She stood up from the very corner of the bench and glared looked at Brody. "Excuse you?" She spoke, but that's all she said since she didn't really want to fight with that Hufflepuff. Plus, whatever happened to her WANTING to be friends with that girl? Guess that's never going to happen. Brushing some of her hair out of her eyes, she marched over to the other side of the table and sat across from Torin.

"You can come sit right here," she told the Ravenclaw girl as she patted the area on the bench next to her.

She grabbed her book and slid it over to where she was, but as she was about to read, Torin asked her a question. Her brown eyes just stared at the Hufflepuff for the longest without saying anything. Nope, she wasn't going to reply to that question.

Her eyes shifted over to Jake in the back of the room and she had this brilliant idea just to go sit next to him, but she couldn't just walk away from the Ravenclaw girl. Instead, she looked back down at her Ancient Runes book.

Adrienne smiled as the Slytherin girl who had been looking at her Runes book responded to the suggestion, and leaned over again. "Yeah, Runes is only second to Potions as far as I'm concerned. I don't really understand either." She flipped through a few pages of her Runes textbook, looking up again as the girl talked about how her idea of studying together might be better. "Hopefully," she said, before wondering if she should introduce herself. But the girl's attention was taken away before she could, and she glanced back at Torin as he seemed a bit confused by her ranting from earlier. "Never mind, Torin. Just some things that have been bugging me, but obviously you didn't know about them." She had to admit to herself, she was surprised he didnt at least know about her enmity with Dominic at least. Even Cela had spazzed over her losing points for her shoes. Which didn't realy have to do with the head boy, but it did mean her shoes got attention.

And then Brody was getting all the attention, from Torin, and it seemed everyone else, including the Slytherin Runes girl, and Adrienne sighed a little as she went back to her attempts to study. At least the girl hadn't left, so if she wanted to talk again, it was still possible.

Copernicus glanced up at the group that had gathered in the room, looking pleased by the turn out. Funny how these things seemed to work out. You seek to be alone and the whole world finds you regardless. With a flick of his wand, Copernicus felt as if he was directing a chorus, bringing many sounds into one seamless harmony.

He waited for their eyes to track to him before speaking again. "Thank you all for coming today. You know why you are here."
Halfway through a particularly difficult explanation of one rune or another, she sensed something happening, and glanced upward only to see Copernicus standing up. And as her eyes landed on him, an odd floaty feeling crept into her, and she found herself nodding as he finally spoke. She felt like whatever he was going to say was going to make the most sense in the world or something.

"We are faced with a crisis, my friends. We are faced with an infection in our school, a pervasive evil that is challenging our safety and the wholesomeness of our way of life. And you all are here today because you KNOW that we cannot stand idly by while werewolves and werewolf-lovers infiltrate our beloved grounds and poison the minds of those too weak to see the truth. You all are here today because you care enough to fight against evil among us. You are the brave ones. The heroes."
Ignoring her textbook, she had sat there quietly, waiting as there was a direction to lock the door, and a little housemate of hers had done that. But then Cope had gone back to talking, and the blank and oddly pleased expression on her face flickered a little as a tiny voice reminded her of the discussion she'd had in Diagon Alley before term about werewolves. But then the clouds came back, and she let the voice fade away a little. It hadn't gone away entirely, but she wasn't able to resist the flattering words Cope was saying about all of them. Of course I can fight against them, she found herself thinking hazily.
