Interrupting something? Nothing that she needed to be concerned with. "No. You're good," He gave his peer a convincing smile. "Don't worry about it. It's not your fault." Dominic explained in vagueness to the Ravenclaw. It was true though; it wasn't Copernicus' fault at all. Girls were insane and there wasn't really any easier way to put it.
But they were moving on regardless from that topic and to the reason why they were here in the first place; figuring out what subjects to concentrate on and which they needed help with. "I need to focus on pretty much anything involving wandwork," the head boy admitted sheepishly. It was true though; with the exception of Runes, he was fine with all the subjects that didn't deal with wandwork. "But yes, likewise for me, I want strong scores in everything I'm taking. Which is everything, except maybe Runes. I have to talk with Professor Lupa regarding that subject still and whether I should attempt the exam or not." Because after his failed OWL attempt, he wasn't really sure he wanted to deal with the subject again. "Astronomy isn't a bad subject," Dominic argued against. Of course having Borr teach it was pretty much a waste of time; almost comparable to Bunbury teaching Herbology, but the Head Boy decided against stating THAT opinion of his. "The subject material in itself is actually pretty fascinating. I think that it's what the teacher makes of it that can either make or break ones perceptions of the subject. Of course that's true for any subject, not just Astronomy." "That's true. I really enjoyed Professor Forrester's classes. He has a real understanding of the subject. I'm not too sure about Ancient Runes either. I seem to do fine in class and get good grades, but my OWL was a disaster. I really want to take a NEWT in History of Magic just to prove to Truebridge a Hufflepuff can do it. I know I'm not one of his favorite students. He just... I don't know I can't focus in his class." |
