"Very well said," the head boy complimented. "Just one thing though to comment on which is what you said last about in the absence of either trait. I don't think that being motivated by fear or power is necessarily specific to ONLY wizards, but can be applied to muggles the same way. Just a thought though." Evolette blinked at Dominic, as he suddenly launched into "Professor mode." Asking questions, strutting like he was the most popular person in the room.... HAH. As if. Whatever.
Standing from her seat, Evolette walked over to the boy, and stood beside him, if she was going to "talk" to him which would probably end up sounding like an argument, no one else needed to hear it.
"This is not a class, Denton." Evolette reminded him, knocking his little power trip down a notch. "They've come to study. Perhaps we should divide them into groups, depending on the subject, and LET them study?"
Yeah. PERHAPS. And the someone was giving him these looks like he was doing something wrong. HA! Now she complains? Yet it was her who didn't really give much of an introduction and in the start seemed to be letting him take charge. Now when she doesn't approve of how he wants to run things... she tries to take over.

"Yes, I'm aware of that, McKenna," Dominic replied, trying REALLY hard to refrain from rolling his eyes. "And yes, we will get to the studying, but I just wanted to do a quick review of some of the topics covered thus far FIRST. Discussions and reviews ARE a form of studying too, you know."

Dropping her messenger bag on the floor and not at all bothered by the fact that she was seemingly late (though, in her mind, she was not late - Willow Kovac had her own very schedule, so therefore, everyone else was ridiculously early), the Ravenclaw captain took seat a little farther away from the rest of the people. Smirking lightly at her Slytherin friend, the seventh year started to curl a strand of dark hair on her index finger, as she heard the Head Boy talk and lead the study session, without actually looking at him.
Study session that sounded more like a class.
Her perfectly shaped dark eyebrows jerked up slightly. And many different kinds of people to ATTEND the sessions too, Dominic thought as he took note of the Ravenclaw Captain's presence. That was a shocker; he would have thought she would have avoided the session for the mere fact that HE was one of the ones leading it.
Evidently, she didn't totally want to cut him out of her life forever, like she said. No, he would just have to bide his time . . . Quote:

Cue super sweet and angelic smile as she reholstered her wand and crossed her legs, apparently the absolute picture of innocent and rapt attention. And back to the REVIEW part of the study session. Hearing the small laugh from the young Ravenclaw prodigy, Dominic looked at her just in time to see that sauciness on her expression as she twisted in her chair . . .
Her skirt. Was revealing ALMOST too much skin. It wasn't really any wonder though what Copernicus saw in her: saucy attitude, cute, and smart to name a few.
And then she was pointing her wand at HIM while demonstrating the wand movement.
"Absolutely. Perfect. And thank you for not actually GOUGING me, because that would have resulted in some severe disciplinary action." He mused, throwing a brief little wink at her. Text Cut: a few others who were quiet/late xD Quote:

Nodding quickly as she made her obviously late entry, she raised a hand in recognition of it already starting, and took a seat at a table further back. OH this was funny. It seemed Mr BIG!Head Boy was getting a talking to, from Mrs Head Girl.

Placing her bag on the table, and shifting so she was comfortable, Tammy leant into her palm. It seemed a few of them were younger than her. But taller. But that wasn't the problem. EH, wasn't she scheduled to do the next on, in like a couple of months time?
TALK INFRONT OF PEOPLE?! EH., Looking around at some of the others, Dominic decided that it was probably enough review. A lot of them probably didn't really know what to ask or talk about, since this was the first official group/interhouse study session.
Noticing his own co-prefect lean into her palm though, Dominic frowned. Tamzin - on the other hand - SHOULD have known what to expect or ask. Oh well. It wasn't really too big a deal as they had three different subjects already to work with.
"Hmm so I think the time is now to move on from that you telling me what you've learned thus far. Thank you for those who volunteered the information." Dominic started thoughtfully, but then decided that since Evolette seemed so eager to move them into STUDYING, then perhaps she should be the one to talk about the next part. Looking over at the Head Girl to grasp her attention, he continued, "Evolette, here, will explain the next part pertaining to actual study work." And how they'll split up ...
See. He CAN share . . . SOMETIMES!
