Well... maybe. Jake shrugged once more, wringing his hands with each other as he glanced up at LouAnn. "We'll have to see."
They would indeed.
"Erm... I like the sugar quills," he said quietly, thankful to LouAnn for buying him something, as he hadn't brought money with him to Hogsmeade.
LouAnn got sort of still and grew quiet when Jake announced that bad things frequently happened. Boy, did LouAnn know that particular statement to be true! She didn't, of course, know how it related to Hogwart's and the happenings at the castle, but she did know how it related to a particular incident that happened at her former home when she was only a mere ten-year-old. Bad things
did happen, and that's just all there was to it. "Yeah," she half-whispered. "I can't argue with you there..."
"Well I hope nothing bad happens to us at the castle. I've read that it's one of the safest places to be! Or, at least, it seemed to be for Harry Potter," LouAnn remarked. She thought about what Jake said as she made her way around the store, collecting a few Sugar Quills for him as she did so. "Sugar Quills, right..." Her mind, though, was a little distracted. She was thinking about all the bad things that could possibly happen throughout the course of one school year. LouAnn didn't know exactly what would happen, but one thing was sure---where LouAnn was, trouble usually followed. Not intentionally on her part, of course.
