"Oh, aren't you a dear. You need to come to my audition on Sunday afternoon. You'll be a lovely assistant, just wait here a moment and we'll see if I need you," she beamed, broadly at the child before turning her full, unwavering, attention on poor dear Berty as he spoke.

Lord Borr finished his cookie and indicated that he would be needing another by opening his mouth again.
.... his tummy began to RUMBLE. "You dismiss them, Miss Melita, but not before homework. For homework they all are to write an ode about their role model and include a list of 10 professions that are BETTER THAN A LAZY STARGAZER."
It was not Lord Borr, BUT SOMEONE let out a loud bit of flatulence. AS IF THE ROOM NEEDED MORE SMELLS. "One more cookie, love. Please."
Melita shoved another cookie in his mouth and then turned to that boy. "Take the platter of cookies and give two to each student on their way out, please, thank you," Sophie beamed and then turned back to Berty as she pulled more cookies from her pocket and sat right next to his bulk to feed him cookies.
