Changeable

Abigail walked quietly into the class room and looked around at the mess the pixies had already managed to make. The pixies...the big pixies, were at that moment distracted by setting books a light with the class room candles, and she was beginning to wish she’d learned a spell to produce water.

Busy warily looking at the group she hadn’t notice more pixies standing very close by. But they had noticed her, she discovered, when a book smacked her on the side of the head. Swirling around in the direction it had come from she came face to face with two big, blue pixies. Forcing a smile on her face she gradually began to move away from them “aren’t you just...delightful” she cringed.

Without realising it she backed herself into the group of fire happy pixies, and they were all edging towards her with evil looks on their downright ugly faces. Laughing hysterically she quickly glanced around for some form of help “Now there’s really no need to hurt me! I haven’t done anything to you have I?” She was hoping desperately that she could smooth talk her way out of this situation.

Suddenly they all pounced and she screamed at the top of her lungs, quickly diving under a table that had been turned on its side. Objects began bouncing off of her shelled and the pixies were edging closer and closer. “Think Abigail, think!” Then she remembered her wand -how could she forget it- and empted her bag upside down to find it.

Along with her wand a bag of chocolates flew out of her bag. They were from the very last batch she’d made before leaving for Hogwarts. Abigail got an idea...these chocolates were laced with a potion to make them addictive, they weren’t that affective with humans, but maybe, just maybe they’d be highly effective on pixies!

Taking one out of its bag Abigail swung her arm and let the chocolate go flying over her shelled and peered over the table to see what would happen. One of the pixies was examining the chocolate whilst the others were finding more things to throw at her. The thing –she didn’t even want to try and figure out if it was a girl or a boy- sniffed the chocolate before stuffing it in its face. Abigail smiled when the scowling pixies face turned into one of utter pleasure “Gotcha.” She giggled evilly.

Keeping her wand firmly in her had she began flinging chocolates in the direction of all the pixies insuring they all got a taste of her own concoction. Then she held the last of the chocolates up in there bag and began to shake them at the pixies “Here pixie pixies come get Abi’s chocolates, you know you want them.” When the pixies got close enough she flung the bag over the table and watched s they all dove towards it. Quickly she pointed her wand at them whilst they were distracted “PERTRIFICUS TOTALUS, PERTRIFICUS TOTALUS, PERTRIFICUS TOTALUS...” One by one she bound the pixies. She surveyed her work, very happy with herself “Well I think that’s a job well done.”

Smiling she turning around to grab her bag and came face to face with a very angry pixie. Before she could react the thing jumped on her and started pulling her hair! Screaming Abigail kicked and punched the beast, trying desperately to get away from the thing, but it just wouldn’t let go. The pixie was quickly dragging her towards the back of the class room, and she didn’t have a clue what to do. “Help! Professor Help!”

The pixie stopped dragging her to pick up a book that it swung at her head. Ducking quickly Abigail began scrambling for the door, only to have the pixie fling it’s self on her again. Reaching around she tried desperately to find something to help and her hand landed on one of her shoes that shed lost during the fight. Picking it up she swung the heel of the shoe at the pixies head! She kept hitting the pixie until it stopped struggling and quickly pushed it of off her.

Standing up she looked around the room to ensure she hadn’t missed any others. Realising that it was finally empty of any conscious pixies –in fact she thought she might have actually killed the last one- she picked up her belongings and left the class room as fast as her legs would carry her, cursing the professor the whole way. “Thanks very much for the help” she said sarcastically to the room as she let the door slam shut.
