Silas wandered into the hallway, completely unaware of his surroundings. He was finding it immensely difficult to focus on anything, given how much his memory kept flashing to Lizzie or to the, er, incident with Dora.
Slouching down the hall, hands deep in his pockets, head down, he headed toward the water cooler, completely oblivious that Dora was there.
That was, oblivious until he began to get a cup of water. He spied her out of the corner of his eye and could feel his face grow hot. He turned to her, paler than usual, with dark rings under his eyes, with a remorseful frown.
"I'm sorry," he muttered, before turning again to leave.
