Their contact during the holidays had been scarcer than she'd expected, and she found herself hoping fervently he hadn't been forced to stay home and be home-schooled, again. No, she was sure she'd run into him. At some point.

Just as she reached this conclusion, a very familiar voice sounded from the compartment she'd just been about to pass. Sneaking a peek inside, Natka saw her first Hogwarts friend hugging... Chris, was that the boy's name? Natka thought she recognised him, but she couldn't be totally sure. In any case, there was Lizzie again, looking as friendly as ever.

Sliding open the compartment door, Natka entered and hugged her friend as soon as Lizzie had let go of the boy. Oh, she had missed this particular Gryffie a whole lot, too.

"Lizzie! How are you? It feels like ages since I saw you, we have so much catching up to do... she said excitedly, but her torrent of words faltered when she noticed Lizzie didn't look quite as cheerful as she usually did. Or maybe it was just Natka, seeing things and reading into them too much?

Hmmm...Better safe than sorry, the fourteen-year-old thought before opening her mouth again.

"Hey, is everything OK? You're usually way more hyper than this when we go to Hogwarts," she observed.
Lizzie turned around, a little smile appearing on her face, as she heard the familiar sound of Natka's voice. Wrapping her arms around her friend she hugged her tight. Natka was always like a safe home for her, just as Ian always had been back home in the muggle world.

I'm so glad you're here! she said and leaned backwards to see Natka's face. I've missed you this summer, I wish we could have hung out some. She studied the girl for a sec and smiled wider. You've grown some, haven't you? Don't tell me I'm getting smaller, that would be depressing. She winked. I don't think I've grown anything during the last year...

With a sigh she sat down and pulled Natka with her down on the seats opposite to the girl with glasses who she didn't yet know very well, Chris and Jenn. Facing Natka she said Yeah you read me like an open book. I've been so busy this summer and even though I'm excited about going back I feel so low. My parents got divorced after fighting for so long.. And since I'm the only kid still at home...

She paused, wondering if she'd told Natka about John, and decided to add Y'know after John ran away from home last spring.. She rolled her eyes, her brother had turned from sweetest ever to a criminal rebel. And he was just turning 17! Anyway, so I've been creating a second home which is a pain, not at all as fun as you might think. She shuddered and smiled a bit. So, enough of misery. How's your summer been sweetie? Last time she'd seen her friend she had been very much in love... Wondering what might have happened during the summer, she waited patiently to hear about it.

Something about the way the girl smiled, looked, talked, did not, however, sound familiar to Song at all. This girl was just another student, one which had a kind air about her. She felt her angst loosen in the pit of her stomach for the first time since she'd sat down. To know that there was one more person in her house that she sort of knew made her feel even more grateful of the girl's presence. And her name was Lizzie. That had been the name of her goldfish, a gift she had obtained from her Uncle Jeremy at the age of six.

She nodded, her glasses slipping half a centimetre down her nose as she did so. "Yes, I just transferred here from South Korea, where I was homeschooled by my mother," she said, unable to keep the heat from rising to her cheeks. She hated her shyness; it made her feel small and insignificent. "My dad got a job over her two months ago so we had to move. It's kind of hard going into a new school," she said, a small, nervous smile on her face, "Especially when you're as shy and as pathetically incompetent at talking as I am,"
Lizzie listened to the girl speaking, quietly grabbing Natka's hand. She felt like she needed her friend at the moment. Facing Song Jin, she smiled a bit and siad That's interesting. I've never been to South Korea but I know it's in Asia, right? Hearing Song tell her how hard it was going to a new school, she said No worries. Hogwarts is fun, you'll love it. And just ask me if there's anything you wonder or any classes you can't find. I love helping people, and I got lost about every day during my first year. She got curious and added How come your english is so good?

Chris then remembered something. He looked at Lizzie and Jenn and Song, "Did you guys see those posters about anti-werewolf things?! That makes me angry. Who is putting those up? That's not fair to Professor Lupa, she didn't do it on purpose, someone else tampered with the cage and her potion!" he said angrily. He liked Professor Lupa alot and didn't really care for the negative support she was getting from this person.
Lizzie felt like she blushed a tiny bit but was sure she didn't. Thanks, I'll remember that if I'm ever in the situation of both my parent throwing me out on the street at once.. she said with an ironic smile towards him, but she did apprichiate it. It was just a bit awkward, she liked Chris as a friend now but staying at his house...? Well she would if it ever became nessesairy. I would invite you to do the same, but right now it might not be the best idea.. She rolled her eyes sadly.

Her mother's cousin's daughter's husband was a werewolf and he took a potion every full moon to stop him from going haywire. She was guessing they had the same potion here: Wolfsbane. If the affected individual drinks the potion prior to the full moon, they will transform only into a normal wolf and retain control over their actions, rather than making the full transformation into a werewolf. It is a complicated recipe and must be imbibed once per day in the week leading up to the full moon, she thought to herself, tumbling the facts in her head. But what she truly wanted to know about about, was what happened to this Professor Lupa that Chris was talking about. Her eyes travelled to a piece of paper stuck on the compartment door, her eyes narrowing slightly.

"What happened to Professor Lupa?"
she asked curiously, turning back to the prefect as she rested her elbows on her knees.

Instead he pulled out a piece of parchment and wrote something on it with his quill and then placed it next to the Anti-werewolf poster with a sticking charm.

He then turned to Song. "Well Professor Lupa, the Ancient Runes Professor at Hogwarts, came out and decided to tell everyone that she was a werewolf. Another idea she had was to have an assembly to help educate us on Werewolves and their transformations. Well she took the Wolfsbane Potion and then transformed for all of us to see in a big cage. Then things went crazy. The potion didn't work and then she broke out of the cage and tried to attack the students." He paused for dramatic interest and sighed. "I think someone must have tampered with the cage and potion because she wouldn't have done that to us. Oh and the major problem that happened was, just as she tried to attack us students, Headmaster Bontecou jumped int he way and he was bitten." he finished gravely.
Listening to Chris and Song discuss the matter of Professor Lupa, Lizzie sighed and leaned back in the seat. She felt like Ancient Runes for that long? Fact was that she couldn't recall ever meeting a Professor Lupa.. But maybe she just didn't pay that good attention in class.. And she hadn't had Ancient Runes last term, right? Confusing, oh yes her life was confusing.
