Hogwarts RPG Name: November {Noe} Franze First Year | Brain Twin | MASTAH ASHURRII | Reisdent PokeNerd | Digifangirl In a way, Issy almost felt angry at that poor, small boy for noticing. Because Samson certainly hadn't. Swallowing a cringe she blinked curiously, pressing two small hands to her little tummy, because it churned and ached and wanted food and felt ill and was just as sad as her chest. Samson had walked out of the compartment and walked right passed her while she cried and this little, tiny kid stood before her, acknowledging her dried tears.
This, alone, made tears well in her eyes again. Oh Merlin. A quick hand drew along her lashes, catching a smear of tears on its back.
Bless his little heart for noticing and not running away. For noticing and speaking up. Irrationally, she wanted to lunge forward and throw her arms around him, but that would probably frighten him too much. Cyrus and Cam had never taken kindly to her random, impromptu hugs and they'd actually known her. Sort of.
But her chest felt so heavy. Her head swam, dizzy and aching. In her temples was a pounding that was gentle now, but she knew it would grow if she didn't have a drink soon. A bottle of water was in her purse but her fingers were all fumbly and shakey still. She probably ought to eat something, but she feared that if she did, it would only come back up. Ugh.
"Regrettably," admitted the small girl in a frail voice, trying to offer him a forced smile, which probably came out more as a grimace. With rapid blinks, she tried to hold her tears at bay. "The eyes gave it away, huh?" she asked with a sniff, trying to come off as a joke.
Oh, she hoped he'd not ask her what was wrong; there was so much bubbling at the surface, begging to release, to rain down on anyone willingly fool enough to listen. And he looked so young... she'd probably just frighten him off. With a thick throat, she swallowed. She did not want to scare him away - perhaps an innocent, naive little one would be better company than anyone else at this time. Certainly better than returning to her compartment and chancing a run-in with Samson again. |
