Chris laughed as Jenn oohed and ahhed when he tolds the story of the battle against the Merpeople.
"Yes, those grindylows are nasty little pests. You were almost drowned by one?!" he asked suprised.
"Man that would be scary! I was lucky I guess there wasn't that much water on that floor of the castle at the time." He shook his head. When she asked her next question he answered,
"Yes the Merpeople, usually ruled by a brother and a sister, went crazy after the brother locked up his sister and had the rest of them flood the school so they could come in and attack. Luckily though we beat them." he nodded happily.
Chris then watched as Jeen excitedly greated someone else in the compartment who must have just came in. He turned around to see a familiar guy.
"Oh hey Chris! Good summer?" Quote:

She quickly glanced at Jenn and then looked back at him with a sigh. They got divorced she said and rolled her eyes sadly. You know how they've been fighting forever, and all of a sudden they just decided they couldn't stand each other anymore I guess. She made a face and leaned backwards. Her summer had been all but fun, so she couldn't be happier being back on this train.
I definately will she said ironically with a smile. Study Group, her? He had to be joking. He knew how much she hated studying. The only good thing about it was that it kept your thoughts away from other stuff.
Chris nodded slowly as Lizzie told him of her troubles at home. He was sad for her that her parents had gotten divorced. He couldn't even imagine what she was going through. He smiled sadly and put his arm around her in a one armed hug and said,
"It'll be aright Lizzie. We can cheer you up some. You will be away from all of that for awhile. Maybe the situation will get better after some time." he said encouragingly.
