Since Riley was still going to be there and all. But, even with the fun she'd had in Diagon Alley, she had wanted to get here. Just to make sure there was still going to be a Hogwarts.

She had decided against wearing house colors that day, even though she had to admit to herself she owned several blue items of clothing. But she wasn't actually at Hogwarts yet, so she had some leeway. Instead, she was wearing a black shirt over dark gray skinny jeans, tucked into her favorite pair of boots. The dark colors oddly blended with her hair, which was down and wavy, and contrasted with Rochester. Her snowy owl, simply because there was nowhere else for him to be, was perched on her shoulder, surveying the students milling around the corridors regally. As far as he was concerned, as long as nobody collided with his mistress, they could do whatever they liked. Of course, Adrienne wasn't about to let him do anything anyway, but she also knew her owl chose to ignore that fact for now.

She had seen quite a few of the flyers around her, choosing to ignore most of them until, about halfway down the corridor, she had simply needed to rest her arms. Dropping the trunk on the floor with a thump, she turned to scan one of the flyers, which conveniently was stuck to the wall nearby. Not that it wouldn't have been hard to find one anyway, seeing as they were practically covering every square inch of the corridor, including midair. As she reached the end of the message, Adrienne rolled her eyes. "Really? People are actually going to be like this?," she asked incredulously to nobody in particular. She knew the Ministry was aware of the headmaster and Professor Lupa's conditions. If she had heard right, practically all the professors had been called in for interviews about that assembly last term. So if they hadn't seen fit to close Hogwarts, or get rid of the two staff members, she didn't see any reason to be so up in arms. Granted, she was going to be more careful, especially around those two, but that was about it for her precautionary measures. She didn't see reason to be so dramatic.

Ok, so he hadn't exactly planned on sitting near the back, but in all honesty it was the safest place for him right now. all the caios that he knew would happen in the other areas were too distracting for him right now and he needed to concentrate. On what, well Will wasn't sure of as yet, but he could count on one thing; it would be epic. Well, not epic like building the worlds biggest chocolate frog that could tap dance on his whim, but it would be something that everyone would remember. The only problem was he wasn't sure if he should do anything on the Hogwarts Express since it was the only means of transportation into the school. Like seriously how would it be if he had accidentally done something to someone who had then gone to the food trolley lady who then decided to turn him into a flying dung beetle?

Dragging his trunk behind him he peeked into different compartments, seeing some full and others empty of students excited for their next term. He was more than excited, and a bit overwhelmed actually if he were to be honest with himself. He had heard rumors when he had been in Diagon Alley, even seeing some things for himself. Especially that one thing... no he couldn't think of that right now. He had already spent hours crying over that, feeling the loss more than if it were his own beloved toy. The events from the past term still haunted him, the necklace around his neck a constant reminder that he could have been seriously hurt.

But luckily for him; and for everyone the castle had become a somewhat semblance of normalcy and William was looking forward to a new exciting term. His eyes darted over a flyer he saw just lying on the ground. Frowning a bit he picked it up, his eyes scanning the page as his face contorted into one of utter confusion. "Come on..." he muttered, pocketing the flier and looking around for whoever had placed it there. There had been tons of them lying around, looking like stepping stones. If one were to step off them they'd fall onto the carpeted floor.

shrugging once more, William put the flier aside and went on the hunt, finally spotting a girl sitting by herself in a compartment. finally! he thought, a small slight smile appearing on his face as he slowly opened the door, his light blue eyes gentle as he said, "May I join you? Everywhere else is..." is what, too loud, too obnoxious, too rude? "full." he finished instead. As he stood in the threshold of the door and the compartment, he got a good look at the girl, noticing her before an indignant hoot reached his ears. Looking up, his large black owl Zima perched on his shoulder fluttered his wings, looking from her to the owl and back again. Digging into his pocket for an owl treat he fed it to him before smiling, "Sorry."
