“Pass the chicken please Hannah.”
Ernie was talking to her, but she wasn’t really listening. She was watching the Gryffindor table where Neville was eating alone. She felt sorry for him, he looked quite miserable. None of the other Gryffindors were talking to Neville but it wasn’t really his fault. Sirius Black had broken in to the Gryffindor tower using Neville’s list of passwords.
“Hannah, pass the chicken.”
Neville was leaving his dinner half finished, his glum expression serving as an explanation.
“Well if you’re not going to pass me the chicken, I’ll get it myself!” Ernie leaned across her and grabbed the platter.
