Lily walked into the common room and sat down in an armchair. It was slightly older than the rest, so she wasn’t that surprised when it began to tilt. She looked down and frowned as the chair rocked.
“What’s wrong?” James asked, seeing her face.
“The chair rocks.” She said, and showed him.
“I’ll fix it.” James said, and stood up. He then took his History of Magic book out and placed it underneath the chair.
“Is that how you treat all your books?” she asked incredulously.
“That is what they are for.” James replied, with a shrug.
Lily frowned.
