For some reason, some people in this world don't seem to realize it's possible to have a positive experience from the movies and the books, no matter how different they might be. It is not a betrayal to Jo or the story to like something in the HP world that didn't originate from her mind.
That's not the case. Yes, people like me get upset over the little details. But you cannot deny the fact that VITAL information was left out in the movie. It's understandable for the little things and the unimportant things to be left out. But the things that make the plot string together, or information that is necessary and used in the future are needed. It is a betrayal to the story if it isn't portrayed correctly.
