Screams of Guilt.
75. Yodel
Remus was screaming. Sat in the parlour of Lupin cottage, Lilly could hear his cries of agony rising through the floorboards.
“Not exactly a yodel, is it?”
She looked into John Lupin’s sad face with tears shining in her eyes.
“Never heard it before have you?”
Lilly shook her head.
“I offended Greyback. It’s my fault. He wanted to take Remus from us. Arrived on the doorstep the next morning, as though he was here to claim a lost puppy.”
John Lupin’s bitterness was as hard to hear as his son’s screams.
Suddenly, a long howl ripped through the cottage.
(I have a theory about wizards giving their first born son the father’s name as a middle name e.g. Harry James Potter, Bill Arthur Weasley, etc. Hence Remus John Lupin)
