He caressed the side of her face, closed his eyes, and embraced her. He wanted so much to hold her there forever but, the castle had many eyes and to be truly alone, they had only to walk a little further into the forest. He spun her again and she leaned into him, her arm over his shoulder to regain her balance. "I reckon you're trying to kill me," she laughed. "But, it's a fun way to go."
She was having more fun than she would have ever dreamed she could have at a Ball. For a few moments, it seemed she forgot about what was coming but, it all quickly came crashing back and she looked up at Nick with a sorrowful expression. "I think maybe you should try spinning me again," she whispered.
