The arab boy blinked, yet regarded them with the same smile. "Ah, aren't you now?" He jumped off the bed and closed on the girl, hands behind his back. Then rounding her for inspection, and now towering over them both by a head. "You look pretty human to me."

He noticed as the girl tried to leave from the door to the right, and with that same smile, shugged and stuck his tongue. "That won't work. Though I think you are right to think that's the exit. And you may be right to want to leave."

He went to that same door and leaned against it, humored and cross-armed, looking back at them. "I'm not sure what you are, but you aren't one of them." He looked at the gaunt, autistic kid on the bed. "At least I don't think you are..."

He leaned to crouch on his legs. "Aren't you little wizards? Don't you have a wand to try open things like these? You know, that would be dead useful right now." His smile was both friendly and yet uncompromising unmoved. He pointed at himself, self-explanatorily. "I'm trying to get out too, you know."
