One of the girls had spotted him and dashed a smile his way. Alex scowled at her back. He hadn't seen her in his classes, so she had to be a seventh-year. And a people-magnet, apparently: Beauxbatons and Hogwarts students were clustered around her, their expressions relaxed and friendly... No use hiding anymore, he decided, and stalked out of the shrubs, heading towards the castle. Svidrigaylova and some of the Durmstrang seventh-years had found comfortable spots outside; they seemed to be enjoying themselves. Alex hunched his shoulders and lowered his head, hoping that no one would spot him pass.
