Fighting to contain said child in her arms as he flailed and almost hit he in the eye, she added, "No need to be nervous, Reese. It will all go great."
When River hit her in the nose with his fist, she finally gave in. He was calling for Reese and kicking her in the stomach. She was glad when Reese took him.
Following Reese to the kitchen, she said, "what do you have for us to eat around here, Reese? I hope nothing that has sugar in it." Sugar didn't affect River since he was like his father, but she really didn't need to worry about him getting cavities. Maddox didn't put whatever it was he used on his teeth today.
Finally she noticed Jake. "Jakey Wakey," she said as she went over to the boy and gave him a hug. It always seemed so strange to her that this boy with the million piercings and green hair was her Jakers.
