Far enough to be discreet yet still near enough should they be needed.
Still watching, Kazimeriz raised an eyebrow when he recognized (and, admittedly overheard the name of-- hey, the office wasn't THAT big) the potion. "Cari, do you really think that wise, in concert with the other two potions? The side effects..." He furrowed his eyebrows, concerned. Certainly she knew about the secondary effects of combining these potions? It was NEWT level coursework, after all... But he supposed nothing really could be done about it-- Ah, well... I suppose the girl needed emergency care, to Merlin with the side effects. At least she'd be herself again.
Sort of?
Cela turned her head and looked at the professor a bit nervously, what was going to happen? More importantly, was it happening already? And why couldn't she feel her hands?

He was actually a horrible whisperer though. He just had one of those voices that carried... Plymouth watched for a reaction that didn't involve her blanching and feeling like he soaked in garbage juice for a week. Was she fixed yet???
Cela was still staring at her hands and a slow smile played on her lips. "I like my hands." She turned a little in her seat to look at Plymouth but she couldn't see him all that clearly because her hands were so BIG and in her WAY. She decided to point out the difficult part. "You'd have to get me a REALLY BIG RING! Look at my fingers!" She waggled them and had a total spirit fingers moment. After what felt like hours but was really only about thirty seconds, she flopped sideways in her seat and did some staring at the floor, an alarming little smile playing on her lips as she whispered to herself.
