Richard knocked on the door of the headquarters before he entered. He closed the door behind him with his rear and walked over to a desk set by one of the walls. His white sneakers patted the marble floor as he walked over. He set down the cardboard box in his arms on the desk. The desk was dark wood and had quite a few scratches. There was a chair with old green leather backing, the skin of which was quite wrinkled.
From the box he pulled out a collection of quills, a pile of papers and parchment, a few photos of people he had met on his travels and he even featured in some. He pulled a map of Britain out and another one of central London. He folded it and placed it on a pinboard on the wall. It certainly was a departure from the Security desk five floors down.
As he unloaded the contents of the box on the desk and as he did so a purple paper aeroplane landed on his desk. He hadn't been there five minutes when he was called upon. He unfurled the paper and read at the top OBLIVIATOR HEADQUARTERS MINISTRY OF MAGIC.
Underneath this the following was sent from a member of the public. 'To whom it may concern,
Last week I apparated to the agree spot (alley nearest my road, Lyndhust Grove) and as I appeared my next door neighbour see me appear out of thin air. I attempted to convince them that I just walked around the corner but they are still adament that I appeared out of nowhere. They are now watching my every move to prove their sanity to their friends. This has hindered my day to day practice of magic as well as my friendship with the neighbour in question. Their doctor has began to prescribe medicine for my neighbour and I think the time has come for your assistance. My neighbour's name is Harry Fisher.
Yours Sincerely
Mandy Burling
59 Lyndhurst Grove
Islington,
London'
He folded the paper and approached what appeared to be the head of the Obliviator's desk. He stood there and waited for her to reappear.
