No. No. No.

She repeated her words as she shook her head and finger at the floor, not rude enough to chastise someone who she wasn't extremely familiar with. And as she went on to think about possible scenarios, Raiden and Cela conversed. Quidditch was a barbaric sport! Poor little Raiden Kururugi could become severely injured and everyone knew his constitution wasn't even good enough to withstand a train ride. Merlin's Jelly Beard he was a green mess at the beginning of term. She remembered well! There was that guy trying to shove a sandwich down his throat.

Not a very helpful fella.

At the mention of her name, Daphne snapped out of her reverie, slightly flustered and embarrassed. Cheeks tinted wit a rosy hue, she smiled excitedly. "We're going for a walk!"

Everyone knew that was code for: 'We're hiding from overly excited Gryffindors and Slytherins.'

"You can come along with us if you want." Sleep over!

"OH!" Celandine stared incredulously, "You are all sharing a common room? Oh." Cue pout and lip wibble combo, "Ohhh... but..." She turned to face Daphne. "I want to share with the Slytherins."

"Cage? No of course not. I keep Him --you remember my scorpion, right?-- I keep Him in a box now, he doesn't fit down my top anymore, I keep the Tarantula --she's called Pig-- in a glass tank most of the time, but I take her outside for fresh air sometimes. I keep Missy, the cockroach in an aquarium, not one filled with water of course! And Marv, my half-grown chicken, she lives out behind the stables, I conjured a coop for her. Sometimes she comes and hangs out with me in my dorm though." Celandine blinked. "Oh... I didn't even know about Hissing Cockroaches until Copernicus bought me one!" She beamed, cleary very impressed by the gift. "And Missy wasn't even the best PART of his gift!"

Cela swept her hair behind her ear. "Where are you walking to? Going out on the grounds?"

Raiden eyed Daphne Hopton as she seemed to go into... well one could only describe it as a fit, really. She was all... shaking and her finger was going mad and was she talking to her feet? Or his feet? Someone's feet, at the very least. He was about to say something to her about it when she very suddenly snapped back to relative normality, grinning widely as she informed Cela what exactly they were up to.

"You keep asking me if I'm ill, but... are you sure you're not?" he asked softly, rubbing the back of his neck. When she asked him what he was, he began very seriously to wonder if she was ill, or maybe had an ear infection or something? "I'm a reserve for the Quidditch team..."

Eeep. Why would it be weird? It just... would be. Celandine Toussaint buying him things, as if he were (well he was at the moment) a homeless pauper... And she didn't want him to pay her back, either? That would be... well not polite. If someone lent you something, or paid for something for you, you were supposed to give it back or return the money at some point.

"I... I'd feel bad if I didn't pay you back," he mumbled, looking at his feet. The very feet Daphne Hopton had seemed to be talking to just a moment ago, for some reason or another. "It's just polite to pay people back when they do stuff like that, and right now, well..."

He looked at her and OH THAT WAS A BAD IDEA. She was wibbling and pouting and his stomach jerked very suddenly and violently. Facepalm. Mega facepalm. It was the only way to save himself; he needed to get over this and SOON. It was becoming an issue. He pretended to rub his eyes for the time being.

"They put us in with Gryffindor for the time being, I guess because they've not figured out why the dungeons are... well flooded." He hand stayed very firmly over his face until Cela started talking excitedly about her pets; surely she wouldn't still be pouting and wibbling. He peeked through his fingers and GOOD there was no wibbling going on anymore. Groan. It had been so much easier when he'd simply been allergic to her. "I kinda... not that Gryffindor's bad or anything, but I wish we had our own common room back, because... well with two houses in one, it's really crowded..."
