Not particularly. It was complicated. And the lemur talk reminded her of Plymouth and Copernicus and Dominick Denton who made her cry. Jerkface. "P-Pets?" Stuttering was not attractive. "Oh, please tell me they're not um..."

Dirty? Hairy? Loud? Slimy? Creepy Crawly?

Errr. "On second thought," commented Daphne needing to ruffle the boys hair to bring things back to normal except the height difference made it slightly awkward. "Please do continue calling me Daphne Hopton."

She needed some normalcy in her life.

"I know." Celandine agreed and patted Daphne's shoulder comfortingly.

"Not what? Livvy got me a chick! It's cute and fluffy and makes the cutest cheeping noises... except it's half-grown now. Chickens are gangly when they aren't grown up! Kayla got me a tarantula and Copernicus..." Celandine paused for a split second before continuing as if she had not paused at all, "...got me a hissing cockroach!"

Girls were honestly... very confusing. Raiden's head tilted slightly as Daphne Hopton ruffled his hair, and he half-squinted at her. Did she want to be called Daphne Hopton or not?

"So... you don't mind if I call you Daphne Hopton?" he asked curiously. "It doesn't bother you? Because honestly, I like your name. Daphne Hopton..." He decided it was best to not point out that he wasn't fragile. Although, almost to supplement Cela's assertion, he added, "I'm a Reserve on the Quidditch team this term..."

Waaaaaaaaaait. What was Cela saying?! Buy him things?! His face went from very pink to very red in a matter of seconds. Sure, he didn't have things because of the flood, but... He shook his head determinedly.

"It'd be weird if you bought me things, Cela," he mumbled. "And I'd have to pay you back, and my mum's not written me back about it yet... so all my money's... In my trunk underwater."

It was odd that his mother still hadn't written back yet... usually she'd be very upset and write a lot more if something odd had happened involving him. Flooding was a bit MORE than odd, so... Maybe the owl had gotten lost?

What were they up to? There had been some reason they were coming down this way... Walking? Oh, away from the common room. Because of the craziness. He bit his bottom lip and tried to focus his thoughts into coherent sentences.

"Daphne Hopton and I were... going to the classroom on the ground floor that's empty, because of all the people in the Gryffindor common room." He made a face. "It's not gonna be... much fun sleeping up there, what with all of us being... squashed in. Those dorms aren't made for so many people."
