James, Indie, Mel, Kaleb, Albus, Lily and Scorpius sat up stairs in James room waiting for anything to happen. They’d been trying to listen to what had gone on from the stairs but Harry had cast a spell around the living room and kitchen stopping them from hearing anything.
There was a knock on the door and James looked up “Come in”
Rose walked in Hugo behind her and they sat down on the floor joining the rest of them spread about the room.
James was lying across his bed, Indie’s head resting on his stomach and she lay the other way feet dangling over the end of the bed. Kaleb sat next to Mel on the floor leaning there backs on the wall while Albus was perched on the desk, Lily sitting crossed legged on the floor and Scorpius sitting legs stretched out in from of him against the front of the wardrobe. Rose and Hugo looked in around, smiled and then sat on the floor. Rose spoke first
“It’s not looking good, our mums in tears and she asked for yours to go and see her. We saw your dad go into the fireplace instead” she said looking at Scorpius.
“What about Uncle Ron?” said James; leaning on his elbows to sit up.
“He’s gone somewhere”
“Probably to work, that’s were we think our dads gone to” said Albus,
“So it’s just your mum here then?” said Indie, to James
“Yep”
“I just remembered something Jay” said Indie sitting up and looking at Mel, and then back to James,
“What that your calling me jay now” he grinned
“No silly” she smiled but it faded quickly, “We haven’t told Elizabeth”
His grin disintegrated, Mel’s face bleached and everyone else went to looks of anguish and worry.
“That’s something to look forward to” he mumbled and lay back down again. The room went quiet just as footsteps approached; she knocked “James, its mum”
She opened the door they all looked miserable and she sighed “Scorpius, Indie and Mel your Dads gone to visit Mrs Weasley, he’s given permission for you all to stay here tonight, your mother has done the same she looked to Kaleb and well I know my brother and sister will give you two permission” she smiled to Hugo and Rose “Dinner will be ready in a little bit, so I’ll call you all down, Dad will be back from work in time hopefully” She said before turning to leave.
“Well your mum didn’t bother to lie to us about were dads gone” said Scorpius “Let’s just hope it doesn’t make things worse”
“Lets just hope our dad doesn’t come back, see them talking and loses the plot.

Harry read the note “Don’t let Ron go home yet, Hermione and Draco talking x” he set it on fire with his wand before turning leaving his office and out to Ron who sat at one of the ten desks in the large room
“So Ronald, what have you done now to jump into a mess feet first?”
“Don’t start Harry” he searched through papers on his desk, the lines on his forehead increasing, his ears reddening ,”Where is that bloody report on the Mc Donald case?”
“This” Harry pulled out the sheet from under the pile; the parchment cover with Ron’s untidy scrawling script.
“Yeh that, here you go boss” he took the paper from him grinned and then gave it back,
“Thankyou, now, what about Hermione?”
“I’m not talking about it” he sat down crossed his arms, and frowned. Harry had seen him do this millions of times.
“Its affecting your work, as the head of this department I demand you to tell me, and as your best mate you need to tell me to”
“She’s back to where we were fifteen years ago, you turned your back getting all pally with him”
“I had to; his daughter is dating my son”
“It has nothing to do with my wife”
“He wants to clean up the mess, seriously, having kids has changed the bloke”
“Yeh right”
“Talk to him”
“Bugger off”
“I talked to him, hell we sat down with coffee and laughed about Hogwarts”
“I’m not you”
“Don’t I know it; you’re about a thousand times more stubborn”
“If Ginny had slept with him you wouldn’t be so nice to him”
“No, I wouldn’t, your right, but I’d make the effort for her sake because I love her”
“You really thing we could work this out, that I could be friends with my wives ex lover whose a death eater”
“Former death eater and you know that, we track all ex death eaters that are out of Azkaban and he’s clean”
“What about the fact he abandoned his own kids to go after Hermione instead of back to his wife or back to Elizabeth?”
“No one in there right mind would go back to Elizabeth unless your Jasper Anchorage, and he did try to get into contact with the twins, she just wouldn’t let him, she used magic”
“Magic, that’s low even for her, but I bet he deserved it”
“How about I stop you seeing Rose and Hugo with a little spell and you have to wait thirteen years before you can see them again?”
“Ok you got me there, but it doesn’t change anything, I still hate him”
“You’re being childish”
“Good” he got up and stalked to the cupboard pulling out new parchment and quills “You want a report on the Davis case right?”
“Yeh, you got a week”
“You’ll have it on your desk tomorrow morning” Harry got up and nodded before stalking off into his office. Well if he was staying here to write up a report he wouldn’t be going home to Hermione and Draco anytime soon.
“I won’t be back for dinner, im gonna keep an eye on Ron, tell me when Draco leaves Weasley cottage, see you tonight x” he send the stag patronus and then went back to the papers
