She frowned when he ignored her. "Fine, but I want my hug, Jake. And I'm going to get it." It was a bit of an empty threat, but she was still going to try to get him to hug her at least once before she got off the train. "And I'm sure he's a nice man," she added smiling at him as he stared out the window. True, she like had no idea if he was or not, but she wanted to reassure Jake. Plus, the fact that he was willing to take Jake in spoke in his favor.
She then laughed. "Cute. I didn't even know that she had a tarantula." It was weird and a bit interesting to think of tarantulas getting pregnant and having babies. Though she was pretty sure that she would never want one as a pet.
"Fine... fine..." Jake nodded absent-mindedly, setting the tank in the space between him and the wall of the compartment and him. Sure, she could probably pounce on hm now... but so be it.
"Oh yeah," Jake nodded.
"She has two... Charlotte and Webster..." he grinned, seeing significance in those names. Trying hard not to look out of the window, Jake swung his legs back and forth once again.
