“Draco”
“Hermione” he replied standing in the doorway. He closed the door behind him and she sighed before walking forward and slapping him across the face.
“I deserved that” he rubbed his cheek and sat on the couch,
She moved away standing by the window “Why do you want to drag up the past now?”
“Firstly I want to apologise for everything I’ve done to you and your family but with James and Indigo together – we wanted to sort out our differences”
“Together, wouldn’t have though yours and Elizabeth’s children would have stood a chance with you two as parents”
“A lot of people say that, and yet the girls are ok, they lived with me the past year and I’m glad to say there nothing like me when I was there age”
“James must know her well”
“They’ve been best friends since they met in first year, just like you, Harry and Ron”
She shrugged in response “And why is my daughter send home from your house after having protesting against me and her father to go there in the first place?”
“I had an over reaction when I found James and Indigo kissing”
“And you didn’t want anything to do with the Potters or Weasley’s in there lives so you sent them home at two o’clock in the morning?”
“You’re too smart for your own good”
“A lot of people say that”
“There right” he said watching her sit down on the couch opposite
“So you want forgiveness?”
“Or acceptance”
She laughed “Draco, you crashed my wedding, you sent taunting letters, you hated us all in school and that was so long ago why you couldn’t just let it lie I don’t know, you didn’t have to involve me, you could have just made up with Harry and Ginny, James is there son”
“Cause I actually really wanted to see you again and not fight with you”
She became silent
“And you deserve an apology, which I should have given years ago”
She rubbed her forehead “Apology accepted, but I don’t want to see you again and I don’t think Ron should know about this”
“I’m not likely to tell him now am I? The last time I did I ended up in Azkaban, he smiled and stood up.
“Good bye Hermione”
“Goodbye Draco” He turned and left to go back to the kitchen. She sighed and then stood up
“Wait a minute” she called and he turned around,
“I think we should sort this out with Ron as well”
She said following him into the kitchen with Harry and Ginny waiting
Harry spoke up “Hermione he won’t take it well, we saw him today in Diagon alley he had a hard enough time because we invited him back here”
“He’ll listen to me if he’ll listen to anyone” Said Hermione “I’m going to go and get him – he took Hugo and Rose home after the school shopping didn’t he”
“Yes – did you come from work”
She nodded “Couldn’t get the time of to take them, it’s a good job you’re his boss”
“It’s a good job I’m such a good boss” he stood up “I’ve got to back there now anyway, I’ll be back for dinner” he lent down and kissed Ginny forehead before saying his good byes and heading out the door apparating. Hermione went to the fireplace but paused “Can Draco stay here and I’ll go and get Ron”
“Sure, we have to stay anyway – there are seven kids are upstairs”
“Oh, ok thanks I’ll bring Hugo and Rose they’ll want to know what’s going on as well since they all know half the story anyway” she sighed and stepped into the fire place.
