After shutting the door behind her, Elizabeth felt a pang of sympathy for her eagle, even though she knew it was fine. But as she looked around and saw everyone, Kayla, Raiden, Evangeline, Vannie, Lima, Anna . . . her face broke into a smile. She'd made it. In one piece, for what it was worth.

Going over to the table, she took a bag of chocolate and a mug of cocoa. Taking a sip, she felt some of the residual coldness from the last room dissipate. Taking a relieved breath, she slid to the floor near Raiden, exhausted, before taking a bite of chocolate. At least DADA was over now, for this term at least.
