Was it over already? The second half of the game had started and finished far too quickly for the second year to really get into the game or to even think about creating any spectacular signage or cheer, content to listen to Juniper's new made-up shouting for Slytherin. Mariel need days to perfect her own cheer and there just wasn't that kind of time today. Perhaps she'd have time to make up something to cheer on Ravenclaw and then teach it to someone else while she played. Whatever. Although she did manage to find a couple leaves during the break - one to wear on her head just like Juniper's hat and the other to wave as her fellow Claw had shown her earlier.

After Hufflepuff caught the thirs snitch, she glanced over at her fellow Slytherin supporter and kinda shrugged. What was there to say, really? It didn't matter that much to her either way after all was said and done. Figuring it was about time to leave - what would be the reason for hanging around anyway - Mariel glanced at Willow on the other side of her. Didn't she say she was supporting both teams today? She couldn't be sure as the girl was unusually quiet during the whole game. Did that mean she wasn't supporting either? The second year was completely confused and opened her mouth to ask her if she was alright when a Hufflepuff boy - one of the players, she was sure - fell on top of Willow, knocking her down.

Startled, Mariel watched wide-eyed as the scene below her feet unfolded. From their place on the ground, was he actually reciting poetry? To her captain? Feeling extremely awkward, the second year felt an instant urging to leave or at least take a few steps away, but her feet felt as though they were stuck in cement, meaning all she could do was stand there and gape at the two on the ground.

Her mouth completely dropped when the Huffie boy then had the audacity to kiss her fellow Ravenclaw. That was one thing Mariel knew that Willow did not do - go around kissing boys. She was the one who wrote that brilliant article in the Quill - the one about how to keep silly hormones in check. So why was Willow not moving? Was she in some sort of shock? "Captain?" Mariel managed weakly, hoping to snap Willow out of the daze she seemed to be in.

She couldn't be sure that Willow had heard her, but she did seem to be coming out of her trance as she proceeded to stand up. Now there was the Willow she knew and loved - speaking sternly to the boy she called Dominic. Certain that her captain would give the boy a good talking-to, the second year watched her pull the boy out of the stands with her and decided it was time to go herself as she packed up all things green.
