Wowza! Her day had started as a very normal one.
Woken up, growled at a few first years that had been on her way, gone to classes, Quidditch practice, yelled at Mariel for biting people, yelled at Juniper for getting distracted, yelled at Robert for letting a little girl taking the quaffle from him, yelling at Nigel Forbulus because she could. . . Little had she known that something like this would happen.
Randomly, as she lay there staring at him, Willow wondered if someone had put a confusion charm on her. Because she had never, not on her sixteen years of life, felt SO confused. Or dizzy. Or silly.
It was just like she had never been more aware of how her heart was racing inside her chest, thundering in her ears -which instantly made her wonder if Denton, being as close as he was, could hear it. Also, how was it possible that she had never noticed how hot and fast her blood pulsed inside her veins? Was this the first? Or had that been going on for a while? Or was it only because Dominic Denton had kissed her? Stolen her first kiss? Well, not stolen - more like taken it with. . . her unspoken permission? And now that she thought about it, what was up with her lips being all tingly? And his lips tasting like. . . like. . lemon? And speaking of tingly, what about her face? Every single place that his finger had touched were all tingly.
His only look was giving her tingles, for crying out loud.
So much for wanting to question him - she couldn't even remember what she was going to demand him. Demand him to explain to her what was going on with her, with her, with everyone. Because she had PLENTY of questions. But of course, Willow couldn't even remember them now. . .
Taking a little deep breath -because she'd stopped breathing- the fifth year raised one shaky hand, and commanded that same hand to grab the one that was on her face.
She needed to stand up. She needed to think. She needed to breathe properly. And the only way to accomplish that was if she put herself a safe distance away from Dominic Denton's face. And so still holding his hand, the girl swiftly -more like awkwardly- managed to stand up.
And that's when the babbling started. "You. . . you have got to stop doing that. Like, NOW. I can't even think, for Merlin's sake. Or breathe, or control my mouth, clearly. " Being stern and demanding and cold was something that came really easily for her - but not now. She took a deep breath, not being able to take her eyes off him. No, she needed to stop looking at him if she wanted the verbal diahrrea to stop.
Locking her eyes on Elizabeth -a surprised looking Elizabeth, which had Willow thinking that her team mate had witnessed the entire thing- Willow finally managed to say, sounding a little bit like herself, "We need to talk, Dominic Denton. Now." Sounding like herself, but not looking, of course, because Willow Kovac could not recall when was the last time her cheeks had been so pink. Professor Bunbury would be proud, she was sure.
And so avoiding eye contact with everyone, the fifth year -who was still holding his hand- left the stands, dragging Dominic Denton with her.
