Annie skipped to the front of the cart and picked out a potted flutterby of her own.

She squeezed her pot and all, beaming at it as its flowers gently caressed her cheek. "Then you're gonna wanna sing as you prune - Mr. Ashby will be teaching the spell shortly - but this is the tune I think we should sing, or hum if you're nervous."
Bunbunz cleared her throat and started humming before she remembered the pruning part. "Oh Mr. Ashby, come show us the spell now." Right, they wanted to sing as they trimmed. Yup. Anna nodded once when the professor asked if everyone had a flutterby. She wasn't sure if
everyone did, but she knew she'd gotten one. Upon hearing the professor's directions, Anna giggled lightly, starting to feel silly just
thinking about hugging her plant. Nevertheless, if she wanted to pass this class---
which she did---she figured she better do exactly as Professor Bunbury asked. Shrugging, Anna reached down and squeezed her plant into a little hug, careful to not damage it in any way. With that, step one, the embarrassing step, was complete. Step two
couldn't be as embarrassing as step one was...
right?
Wrong.
Sighing softly, Anna began to prune her plant, singing "Happy Working Song" all the while. "

how this nonsense was going to help her flutterby. Apparently, Professor Ashby was about to show them some sort of spell. Until then, pruning and singing it was...
