Qaz didn't know the song, but it was catchy. Soon she was whistling along.



While she whistled, she got better acquainted with her plant, gently stroking a stem or two, then several leaves. Such a beautiful plant, she thought.



When Qaz looked up from her plant, she happened to notice her tabby, HiJinx, watching....hidden under a bush nearby. He must have herad her whistling and thought that she was calling him. 'Hello, big guy, would you like to come and say hello to the pretty plant?'

What's she up to with all those others...I wonder...perhaps I should investigate.



Qaz watched as HiJinx approached. When he arrived, she spoke softly to him. 'How's my fella? I want you to say hello to the pretty plant'

Pretty plant, indeed. I bet it likes to play catch with itself, fluttering around like that....perhaps a closer look. Sniff...sniff. Seems safe enough. Rrreeooow.

'That's a good boy. We must talk to the plant gently. Mommy's going to prune it soon...like when I clip your nails so they don't get to long. Why don't you run off and find me an acorn...can you do that for me?'

Acorn. Why on earth does she want an acorn. Humans can be so strange some time. Rrrak. As you wish...there sould be plenty of acorns around here....

Qaz watched her cat wander off then went back to whistling...and stroking her Flutterby
