The Mirror...Hmm, he couldn't remember if he'd been here before. Its glassy surface shimmered slightly, his face reflecting back at him, his dark eyes curious and searching. He sensed something, something that felt...unreal. He placed one of his hands flat against the icy surface, and then the other. He pushed it slightly, as if expecting it to open, but he didn't actually know it would. At first he thought he'd broken it, but it soon occured to him that this was meant to happen, that the mirror lead to a huge, magnificent cavern of passages and walkways. If one got lost in here, they'd be lost forever. Well, unless they knew how to apparate of course.

He took a step forward, the darkness closing in on him. For a moment it felt like he couldn't breath, but the sensation soon went away, replaced by a longing that he couldn't place. He looked about him, before taking another step forward,a nd then another, and another, until he was walking at a slow, relaxed pace, not really caring where his feet were taking him, but they certainly seemed to. It was like he was following a path, a path that lead to something important.

He heard voices, and stopped in his tracks, his eyes narrowing slightly. Both of them sounded familiar. The first was easy to recognise, he'd know that voice anywhere; it was Jenn, and she seemed upset. The other was harder to place, but he soon discovered that it was Chris Kaplan. He leant against the wall, and slid down to the floor. He suddenly felt all empty inside. He wasn't earwigging into their conversation, nor was he a peeping Tom. He just happened to be out of sight and out of mind, his attention more focussed on the floor than on their conversation. He pulled his knees up to his chest, and leant his head on them, the coldness creeping around him.
