Helios shivered as the snow went down his shirt. It was a little known fact that he hated the winter. It was a miracle he even came outside, let alone participate in these cold games. The sun felt so far away.
The cold on his neck was replaced with a warmth in his cheeks as he noticed the cherry color brightening on the girls soft white face. Embarassed that he had no clue how long he was staring, Helios shot back up to his feet and offered his hand to Krissy. "Truce?" This was not his kind of battle; fighting with hearts and snowballs.
Krissy looked at the boy and took his hand suspiciously.
"Tis not like yeh to let me `ave the last blow." As she stood holding his freezing hand in hers just a few seconds too long she shivered.
" I can't say as being cold and wet is me favorite part of winter... but yeh made it a lot of fun. thank yeh for playing with me Helios." She looked down and blushed glancing at their entwined hands and trying to pull hers back.
