"And boyfriend are.. When a girl has a boyfriend they like cuddle and kiss and love each other." EWWW that sounded so mushy. "See, I have a boyfriend."
"Love," Jake repeated back himself. Love wasn't real, Jake thought everyone knew that. It was like in fairy tales... muggle ones... they always had love, and they were always lies. So Jake was firm in his 'knowledge' that Love wasn't real.
"Ohh," Jake nodded.
"Like... husband and wife? But I thought that things like that just happened. You get a letter or something telling you you're married to someone, like being paired up with people in school. Then you had to stay with them, unless they broke the law and left, like my dad... he broke the law that you have to stay with his partner."
Jake nodded once more. His own interpretation seemed much easier to understand, plus it was more logical, and darn it, it could probably be proved easier. He shrugged one shoulder.
"I don't understand all that stuff."
