He tried to put it out of his head. He pointed his want at his seat, hoping he wouldn't blow his butt off, "Advexis," he mumbled, but nothing happened.
This was perhaps a time where no news is good news, but he still needed to liberate himself from the chair. For one thing, Quidditch would be exceptionally challenging in his current condition.
He tried again. "Advexis," he said with more conviction.
It might have helped if he had been pointing his wand at his seat instead of his shoe. The cheap rubber sole unglued itself from his sneaker.
"Whoops," he said. "Well, at least I know I'm saying it right." Tobi pointed his wand at his seat and said very clearly:
"Advexis!"
The familiar unglueing feeling returned and Tobi leapt up from his chair. For once, he'd managed to perform a charm without inflicting serious damage or destroying property. Well, except for his shoe, but still, Huzzah!
