Elizabeth glanced over as a Slytherin asked about pond water. "Well, You could probably use pond water in a potion. Don't know of any, off the top of my head, but that would definitely explain why something would smell like that." She saw the prefect badge on his robes, and wracked her brain for a couple seconds, trying to remember if she knew him from last term. But then she remembered she had only met Evangeline in the lounge that one time, so accepted she didn't know him.
And then the tall Gryffindor that she remembered seeing in other classes pointed out what she had already said, and she rolled her eyes. "Didn't I say that earlier?," she asked, before laughing. "In any case, unless we're all crazy, I'd guess water is a big part of this potion. Fresh water, since that would be the only thing that would smell clean like this. But let's wait and see what happens when they look in the book."
She looked up at Ludo as he spoke again. "Hey," she said, before a thoughtful look appeared on her face again. "I know there is some sort of spell to separate potions. But I can't quite remember what it is," she then said, sighing.
