Truebridge looked down at their joined hands and pulled his wand out, flicking it at their hands and casting a revulsion jinx strong and precise enough to separate the two Ravenclaws hands and send each chair skidding in opposite directions.
He put his wand away and began petting the puppy with an evil-genius type of calm.
"Do you know why you are here?" Ethan asked the two, his eyes directed somewhere in the middle of the room to save the effort of looking to one side or the other. The puppy yawned sleepily and snuggled against the Professor.
