Nathaniel stopped just outside the shop to put his skateboard back on his backpack. He walked in and ordered water, a fruit salad, and a sausage roll. He paid for his order and sat down at a table big enough for him and the girls by a window. He took a bite out of his sausage roll. Freya followed Nathaniel, she'd never been in this place before. She ordered a steak and kidney pie and some rice pudding, then took her food over to where Nathaniel was and sat in front of him.
"I have reason to doubt you, Nathaniel. I have the human right to doubt anybody." She ate a forkful of her pie and glanced out the window.
"And it's not that your hair isn't well kept...some people just have a preference for straight hair."
