Nathaniel looked over and saw Mariel. He was so happy to see her. It seemed like forever since he'd seen her last. He felt himself blush for no reason at all "Hey stranger. Mariel would have waved, but her hands were too full of candy, so she just settled for a grin.
"Well, that's a relief. I was sure there was something really wrong if you were only getting that." she inclined her head in the direction of his licorice. Not her favorite but sugar is sugar and that would do far better than nothing.
"You must try some of these lemon drops. I think there's still a few left." The Ravenclaw girl turned to look at the shelf, making sure she hadn't taken them all.
"Ok, so what else are you getting?" she asked looking around. She'd help him pick out a few things, but she'd have to do it verbally not physically since, again, her hands were full.
"Ugh, classes seem more difficult this term," she said disdainfully.
"Or at least more homework than I remember... Oh, did I tell you I got assigned a jarvey? What did you get? We should go down to the nursery and sketch our creatures. You like to draw don't you?" Or at least that's what Mariel thought she remembered.
