It was true. She knew Celandine to be a Ravenclaw but because her general hobbies seemed to be--uh--questionable, it made it difficult to remember that her IQ was above average.

"Studying the classes in theory is all good," added Daphne with a small smile, sweeping Cel' with a questioning look before proceeding. "But it's always important to lean from tactile experiences. The information reaches us more directly," enthused Hopton, shaking one hand in the air to gesture just how directly the info would be absorbed. "Don't you think? So..that's...what I was thinking..."

Or, supposedly anyways.
"You are so right, Daphne!" Celandine enthused, her expression bright and innocent. Daphne's questioning look bounced off her. Daphne would figure it all out eventually. She was smart. Oooh and she was getting it now. Celandine nodded happily in agreement and looked up at the CoMC professor.

You’ll certainly want to have your wands with you. Did you bring them?" she asked, snatching a piece of parchment and sitting at her desk.

"Tell me ladies… have you had much experience with leather saddles?" she asked, scribbling down some notes in her perfect cursive writing. "Now, they've been oiled not too long ago so you won’t have to worry about that." She said, walking over towards the closet and flinging the door open. She reached inside and came out with a large wooden bucket. "You’ll need this. My glycerin soap and conditioner are all right here, as well as fresh, clean rags and some brushes. Let me show you where I keep the saddles." She said, leading the girls out the door and quite possibly to a chore that weren't aware they had volunteered for.

Once outside, she pointed towards the tack room and handed over the bucket along with the note she'd prepared. "Alright, looks like you're all set. Good luck and thanks so much."

"Oh and girls... if you run into any problems, I'll be right inside my office."
Celandine dutifully presented her wand, "I'm quite good at levitating heavy things." If she hadn't have promised Garret that she wouldn't tell anyone she had rescued him from the tree that time, then she'd have used that as an example but as it were she kept her mouth shut.

"I've had more experience with dragon hide, but some with regular leather, Professor." Celandine answered, happily. She noted where everything was kept, took an armful of what they'd need, and followed Professor Morgan outside, nodding as she listened.

"We don't need luck. Hard work is better than luck." Celandine responded, taking the parchment and looking at it.

"Thank you, Professor!" Cela called, not lifting her head from the instructions.

Quote:
* Place the saddle on a saddle stand.
* Remove the stirrups, breast collar, cinches, and any other attachments.
* Wipe off all dust and dirt with a dry cloth.
* Using the glycerin soap, create a thick lather using a fresh rag and some water. Try to use as little water as possible.
* Wash the entire saddle and all leather attachments, methodically working each section. Clean BOTH sides of the leather. Give extra attention to the stirrup leathers, and cinch straps.
* Use the small, soft brush to get dirt out of tooling and tighter areas.
* Rinse off all of the soap with warm water and a different, clean rag. Don't use an excessive amount of water, but make sure you get all of the soap residue off of the saddle.
* Allow the saddle to dry. Do not leave it in the sun or near direct heat.
"Daphne. I think you are a genius." Cela said earnestly, "I bet you are quite good at overseeing things like this to make sure they are done properly?" Cela asked, offering the instructions to her Gryffindor friend. She turned to the saddles and levitated one to the saddle stand.
